Hey, you do what ya gotta do, eh? I have seen VFP throw errors for no reason, and I rarely have the time to figure out why. I agree that this is a kludge, but if you have an impending deadline, kludges start to look pretty good to you <g>.

I did test the form and navigated down to the fourth level with no problem. If it was mu code, I'd use the ON ERROR * kludge until it proves to be problematical...
