The strict date message is simply a warning that VFP "thinks" the date you have entered is not Y2K compliant...although in the case of the Mere Mortals Framework, the date it's complaining about *does* have a four digit year...at any rate, there are VFP6 "strict" dates and there are VFP6 *strict* dates!

Is still ambigous. What is the above date???

May 03, 1998 or March 05, 1998 ??? It depends on what your date setting is. Hence the new way to specify a static date in VFP 6.0 removes this 'ambiguity'.
