I think I figured out why I'm having the problem on the combo box. When I skip to the next record the array that holds the combo box info still has the info from the prior record. I can set it in the Init of the form but I don't know where to reset when I skip to the next record. If there was an Interactive Change on the form that would work. Anyways I borrowed a solution for 2.6 fox by placing a text box over the combo box. While MS is claiming VFP to be OO it still has a ways to go. Also I agree with you that the display value is deceptive. I set it to pull the value from the database and it just ignored me.
