I'm very spoiled with VFE/VFP builders. Also very impressed with the degree of extensibility provided in the VS 2008 IDE. It would seem a no brainer that one would want to have either a smart tag or some other filter of properties to make the most common and always set props of a control easily accessible.
My ignorance of .NET is deep enough that I'm having trouble absorbing the googled solutions and thought someone might point me to the simplest scenario - I want to add a couple of props to the smart tag for a text box. (or be able to look at the property sheet toggled to a filtered version that shows only four or five props unless asked to see them all )
Suggestions?

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.
