Listening to Obama's speech - he slammed another candidate for publicly claiming they were against the Columbian Trade deal while at the same time their chief strategist was working to get it passed.

Hmmmmm....

Mores snippets from his Pennsylvania speech:

He is hitting the unfair advantage China has with the U.S. and calling for a trade deal with China now.

He is also warning Americans to be realistic and not believe his fellow candidates promises to bring jobs back to America. He states most of them will never come back here.

Fair trade with Korea needed - we buy a lot of S Korean cars but American cars are not allowed there - need a fair trade deal with S Korea.

Universal Health Care needs to be passed now.

Opposes NAFTA and CAFTA.

Half of trade with China is goods coming from China into America from American countries, not Chinese companies who make enormous profits and only the $ goes to walstreet but they have lobbyists on Kstreet in Washington pushing for the trade deals that benefit them. The trade deals don't always bring jobs here or support manufacturing here but only the top of the corporations which remain here while the jobs are overseas. That manufacturing income/work is reported here but actually exists in China and other countries.

According to Obama, China's economy relies on exports to the U.S. It is a bargaining chip that we need to use but we don't due to Chinese loans. China is manipulating currencies which disadvantage us. China needs the U.S. more than the U.S. needs China. China is manipulating the U.S. by taking advantage of the U.S. need for $. The U.S. is a debtor nation to Mexico as well which is embarrassing.

Our armed forces are supplied by many foreign suppliers. U.S. firms and companies should be the 1st choice of military supplies for our troops for ecnonomic as well as strategic reasons. Some specialized equipment may always be supplied by sources overseas if it is not available here. No more best cost but best econonic and strategic source for the U.S in the future he vowed.
