Recently saw a fascinating TV series about the Ice road truckers. I guess you all saw it on the History Channel last year.
I found it strange that the English narrator used the Fahrenheit scale for the temps whilst it was a Canadian subject. I mean, I've no idea what, say, -37F is like, cf -37C (jolly cold). Is it much worse?
Quaint that the land bridges are called "portages" after the days when canoes had to be hauled between lakes and rivers.
