Especially for the Canadian readers:

Recently saw a fascinating TV series about the Ice road truckers. I guess you all saw it on the History Channel last year.

I found it strange that the English narrator used the Fahrenheit scale for the temps whilst it was a Canadian subject. I mean, I've no idea what, say, -37F is like, cf -37C (jolly cold). Is it much worse?

Quaint that the land bridges are called "portages" after the days when canoes had to be hauled between lakes and rivers.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
