I know you don't care for televised sports but personally I would have HDTV just for the sports. The difference compared to regular TV is stunning. Other programs look better, too, but to me it is most noticeable with sports. On Sunday I watched some of the last round of the Masters and the picture was so sharp it seemed like you could reach out and pick petals off the magnolias.
