You bet. Most laptops hard drives either pop out by pushing a button or require you to undo a couple of screws to open a drive bay. Unplug it, pull it out.
Search for internet deals for a drive that fits your make and model laptop. Usually they are failry inexpensive.
Plug it in, close it up, install your OS or use recovery disks if you have them.
Fairly painless.
