There is the obvious downside of watching the Cal football team fold to the smallest setback and let it affect their entire season, in glorious HD. *sigh*

>You could watch Duke lose on 10 screens at once!

>>Imagine the NCAA tournament on those screens! :o) WOW!

>>>>>>Nobody's watching 200 channels.

>>>>>I beg to differ. I have 6 satellite receivers for sports, and 2 200-hour DVRs. 1 with 50 shows set to record and the other with another 15. That doesn't include movies, PPV and music. I easily take advantage of 200 channels. More like 300-400.

>>>I learned it from my dad. He's always doing various things with the TV on in the background. The sports bank of tvs came from just after college when a group of us would hit the local bar to watch football on the weekends. After a year of spending money in the bar a couple guys went in on 3 satellites. 2 years later I moved into my home and upped the ante. I can't wait until the next home is finished. 6 HD screens, and that's just the game room. I'm salivating just thinking about it.
