I have disabled "Enable write caching" under the policies to no effect. I have also tried to enable Advanced Performance and that hasn't fixed it either.

I have also now determined that I am having the problem on my secondary drive as well.

There isn't a virus out there that clobbers .fxp's is there? I have AVG anti-virus and haven't detected anything suspicious. I did a clean install of Vista when I put in the hard drive, so it's only a couple of weeks old.

I suppose the culprit could be Vista SP1, but I do have that on other computers with no problems.
