I think I saw that same series. Megadisasters, maybe? Dunno who would show it in the UK but it was a History Channel show here I believe.

True. But look at the bright side - the amount of ash residue pumped into the atmosphere would put the kibbosh on global warming! A win-win situation (lol).
Seriously, I don't worry about any of this. Our forefathers slogged through Krakatoa, the New Madrid quake, the Tungeska strike, and what all. Whatever happens, we'll manage.
