Ah the UN resolutions. I like this quote from a poster on al.com:
Before this war, the U.N. Security Council passed 17 resolutions against Iraq, the last "ultimatum" being 1441. Saddam Hussein ignored them all.
Most of those were made during the Clinton years in which nothing was done. Apparently, only the Bush administration took those resolutions seriously. This was obviously one of Bush's worst mistakes, because no one (including the Democrats) should take the United Nations seriously.
