Actually, the last Ultima I did was on an old Atari machine (Atari 520ST, 16-bit 68000 series Motorola processor)...this is going over 10 years back...

Brainstorming plots sounds like fun, but I only work on this project a few hours a month on average....I don't think I could dedicate enough time to exchange information at the pace that would be neccessary....now, if you have any real great ideas, you could always pass them on :) but I think you should keep them to yourself just in case you think you might start programming a game yourself...
