No my editor does not affect the way that VFP will use the memberdata XML. It only adds to the user memo field the full XML string. So you can choose to have some properties be included in the "standard" memberdata and others not. From VFP's perspective, it will only use the memberdata in the properties field that is limited to 8K. The GKK Editor will use the full one stored in the user memo field overriden by the settings in the standard memberdata.

So the short of it, no you would not have to distribute the editor with the class. The editor only enhances the edit functionality but does not affect VFP interaction.
