I am relatively new to working with MTS mainly because it's never been absolutely necessary to employ MTS as a solution.

I now have a requirement to manage a transaction across 2/3 SQL databasees. I have written a component that uses MTS and it works brilliantly on the server (my development machine at the mo).

However, remote clients get this error: OLE error code 0x80070005. I have setup a role. Added users to the role. If I run the app remotely (ie use my login account remotely) there is no error, completes successfully but doesn't actaully update the databases.

Which brings me to question 2. The clients have SQL Server ODBC driver installed do they require any other SQL Server components?

Any insight will be much appreciated

Update

I have sorted out this out. The error is now gone. Next I need to figure out why clients workstaion do not actually update the databases.
