You can go to Tools>Macros>Visual Basic Editor in MS Word 97. Choose Tools>References from the menu. Click on Word.Basic and click OK. Choose View>Browser. This will bring up the object browser. There will be a combo box on the browser where you can choose Word.Basic. Then the browser will show you the object: you will be able to see methods and their interfaces, and right-click on them to get help on what they mean.

Something similar can be done from VB
