Just because the tribes that were here (who migrated here, btw) didn't have an immigration policy in effect doesn't mean that everyone who showed up on a boat from the East weren't illegal.

Not really clear on your history. Most were legal immigrants. Knowing that now, do you stand by your post as it is?
