The last I heard, there would still be separate Sirius/XM type of plans, I think revolving around Sirius' deal with the NFL/NBA and XM's deal with MLB.

But you could also upgrade to a 3rd plan that would be a mixture of the 2.

>Thanks for the info. With the merger now approved by the DOJ, Sirius and XM features will soon become one and the same, I would think.

>>I have Sirius and am extremely happy with it. I feel I get more then my monies worth for the $12 or so per month. I like music, and there's no comparison between satellite music and regular radio.
>>
>>Also for sports it's great. I would think XM is similar to Sirius for internet reception. Only the music stations. On Sirius, if the station has commercials (i.e. Talk, Sports, Comedy), it is not available over the internet.
>>
>>As far as hardware, When I first got it 4 yrs ago, the tuner was kind of sizeable, so it was mounted in front of my car ash tray, no biggie since I don't smoke. And I bought a home mount for it also, so I could plug it into my home stereo.
>>
>>I just got a new car, and there was no decent space to mount the tuner. But they have new tuners substantially smaller. There is a storage compartment in my new car that the tuner fits perfectly in.
>>
>>The other thing to keep in mind, is that when i got my first tuner, the only option available was to receive the signal on my car radio wireless from the satellite tuner. In my new car, I was able to get an adapter kit, so the tuner plugs directly into my radio. So the signal is much better sounding.
>>
>>>I am thinking of getting XM radio, prompted by an offer to receive every major league baseball game. Have done some research online, hitting mostly links to the service itself -- now looking for input from anyone who has looked into or better yet used XM (or Sirius). I would like to be able to listen to it in the car or on the computer. They have an option of listening on the computer but I'm not sure whether that is all channels or just some of them. In the car, there seem to be quite a few hardware options. I already have a radio-CD unit that I am happy with, but don't think is satellite-ready. Do the add-ons integrate seamlessly or do they look like colostomy bags hanging off the dashboard? Any other factors I should consider? Thanks in advance for all comments.
