When I was making the peridigm shift from FPD to VFP3.0 and trying to wrap my head around OOP, I had a very dear friend and co-worker who very patiently kept answering the question "This is all fine and dandy, but how is it so damn much better?", and answering it well and all was good and happy in the land.

When I was making the shift from VFP8.0 to VB.Net, I continued asking the question, but the best answer I could get was "It's all drag and drop?" to which got added, very quickly, "til it's not, and most of what you need to do comes under the 'not'" and all was not so good but somewhat happy in the land.

Now I get the RCA dog look when I ask the question....and not much is good or happy in the land, but it has been decreed that, will us or nil us, we shall become Java programmers.
