You're assuming that Ahmadinejad and his men think like you. They're much more unconventional and much more creative. They send out suicide killer almost every day to do their dirty work. Suicide is glorious to them as long as bunch of infidels are killed in the process.

It's not like they'll amass their troops along some border where they can be detected. They have no chance if they do that. No. When they feel compelled, they'll just push a button or drop it from a bomber, with little chance of being detected, and then what? America and Israel, if they have anything left, probably will retaliate but Europe or the UN... I'm not so sure... probably not. Where would Ahmadinejad and his merry men be while all this is going on? Somewhere safe I'm sure with clear conscience. After all, all his country men are with god and his virgins.

Even if they don't ever use it, it's a great "negotiation" tool for them to get their way, unless you believe US uses it's nuclear arsonal as a "negotiation" tool as same way they will.
