I have a DBASE IV file that is stored on my workstation with several columns of which there are two columns of data I need to transfer to a SQL table. The dbase IV table and the SQL table have a common column between them. The common field contains an integer value that tie the records in the dbase file to the SQL table. How do I open the dbase IV file in query analyzer and join it to the SQL table? Once I join the tables the table I need to update the SQL table. There are over 1,000,000 records in each table. To prevent the production server from being over whelmed, the SQL script will have to process approximately 5,000 records at a time. Not every record in the DBASE IV file will have data that is transferred.
