I did NOT read any of the links. I have some comments, in-line:

>
>1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens
> each year. http://tinyurl.com/zob77%20

- Quite a range. Sounds like a biased estimate rather than a serious 'study' of the matter.
Americans have always been a compassionate people, especially when it comes to children in need.

>
>2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance
>programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.

- Doesn't seem to be a huge amount to me, considering the impact it likely has.
Americans have always been a compassionate people, especially when it comes to children in need.

>
>3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal
>aliens. http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html

- Doesn't seem to be a huge amount to me, considering the impact it likely has.
- I wonder why hospitals claim that their charges are higher because paying patients "subsidize" the indigent who cannot pay?
Americans have always been a compassionate people, especially when it comes to children in need.

>4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary
>school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English!

- One would expect that they can speak English once they have been in school for a while.
- How is this different than legal aliens first entering the country?

>
>5. $17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the
>American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.

- But these kids are American citizens. That's just the way it is, and the only sensible way to treat such births.

>
>6. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal
>aliens.

- So you prefer they get sent 'home' and come back and do it again?
- Isn't this where you want to keep people who break your laws?

>
>7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.

- Slightly over 1% of the U.S. adult population is incarcerated. Isn't this where you want to put lawbreakers, regardless of their origin?

>
>8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for
>Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers.

- This sounds like a repeat of #1, #2 and #3.
Americans have always been a compassionate people, especially when it comes to children in need.

>
>9. $200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages
>are caused by the illegal aliens.
> http://transcripts.cnn. com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.htm

- I wonder hat this means?
- I suppose those who employ illegals have nothing to do with this situation.

>
>10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate
>that's two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In
>particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the US
> http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt.01.html

- I would expect that white legal aliens would have a lower crime rate. Just being "illegal" is a crime to start with!
- The children part is obviously purely speculative.

>
>11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal
>aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroine and marijuana, crossed into the U.S. from the Southern border. Homeland Security Report:

- Even the low estimate - 4,000,000 - seems a logistical impossibility.

>
>12. The National Policy Institute, 'estimated that the total cost
>of mass deportation would be betw een $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period.'

- Maybe this money could be better spent on some other schemes that are less drastic yet address the problem at least for the future.
Americans have always been a compassionate peoplea and I can't see the majority agreeing to a mass deportation.
>
>13. In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin.

- Don't you think that helps to keep more illegal aliens 'at home'?
- Is it OK for legal aliens to send remittances but not illegals?

>
>14. 'The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million
>Sex Crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants In The United States '. http://www.drdsk.com/articleshtml

- Never a good thing, regardless of "who" the perpetrator is.

>
>The total cost is a whopping: $ 338.3 BILLION dollars a year.

I suspect that numbers would be even more shocking if enumerated for all military spending.
I suspect that lobbying $$$ and political 'contributions' would be a nice fat number too. And that spending has a direct impact on every citizen and every illegal alien.
