Jeff, I never responded to this. The scenario you describe is not similar to mine because your customers are not VFP developers. What I'm seeing is at design time and only when I make modifications to report files. Further, I don't think you are using Kaspersky on your development machine. Is this still true?

Although the problem is intermittent, I've been able to create a scenario where it can predictably happen within a few tries. I've also finally convinced my central IT group to let me try these scenarios with Kaspersky turned off. The results continue to indicate that Kaspersky is the problem.
