If you want to look at something that REALLY pollutes the atmosphere, look at what a volcanoe does when it erupts. But, guess what, the earth cleans itself. Look at the pollution we had back just a few decades ago, like in Pittsburg, PA. You couldn't see the sky for all the brown smoke. Today, it's as clean as any other major city.

The truth is we are getting better, and we should get better, every day. VW will have a 4 cylinder car in the next year or so that gets 80mpg. All the other manufacturers will have to get better, or die. I drive a VB Diesel Beetle TDI that gets 40-50 mpg. $4.00 diesel is about like paying about 1.00 per gallon when I was driving my Trooper that got 15 mpg.

I'm all for a clean environment, but I don't by into stuff that is marketed to me with smoke and mirrors, by P.T. Barnum, III
