Things that make you go hmmm.....

I have a VFP3 application tooling happily along, in which I nested a combobox (just a list of values) inside a grid. When you select a value from the combobox ("Approved", for example), it is displayed as one would expect and all is well.

I am migrating that application to VFP6, and I find that the combobox drops down just as before, but when you make a selection from the list you just get the first letter displayed ("A").

Is there some addition or property change that occurred between VFP3 and VFP6 that I'm missing?
