And remember - next year you get to pay it all back to the IRS plus interest plus administrative and legislative overhead expenses plus make up for the 'rebates' that go to millions of people who did not pay taxes.

Pretty neat how we get a 'rebate' of money paid into the government that is insufficient to cover the government's current expenses (not including the running debt).

Even neater that people who don't pay taxes get the 'rebate' too.

My 'rebate' goes right into a tax account so at least the principle (most of it) is available for payback.

>I don't know where I am on the list but when my check arrives it will go right to work stimulating the economy. So far I haven't decided whether to spend it on Asian made electronics or just spend it on gas.

>Yesterday I achieved a milestone. The car needed gas and it was my first $50 fillup. Pretty amazing when you consider this is a Jetta that barely holds 13 gallons of gas. Regular. $3.69 / gallon will do that....

>>Cool. I'm at the top of the list :o)

>>>According to a story on CNNMoney.com, economic stimulus checks from the U.S. government will go out several days sooner than expected due to what sounds like a computer programming miracle --
>>>
>>>The payments will go out ahead of schedule because of a new computer program that updates records daily - faster than an older program that updates weekly, according to Andrew DeSouza, a Treasury spokesman.
