Hi Kevin,

I have been using a utility called CMRepair for about a year now. It works very well. I must admit though, that the corrupted tables have been few and far between, one happened last week when an old application of mine hung up during data entry.

I think the most common corruption occurs when VFP is closed abruptly during addition into a table. The table header then gets out of sync with the actual records. Most commonly this seems to happen when users switch off the PC in the middle of data entry (or power goes and they don't have a UPS).

Mostly you can avoid corruption like this if you use buffering properly.
