I also don't understand. If you have already moved to .Net or something else, ok, I understand. But if you haven't, it may give one a jumpstart into the .Net-world, using familiar techniques where the Fox is strong. It is something to be enthusiastic about.
On the other hand, speaking for myself: I will have to be strict to myself to force me into looking to and understanding those sides of .Net which are way better then the VFP-equivalents, and not be lazy. It is no good when I end up in being a VFP-programmer using the Etec Compiler to just give my programs a '.NET-flavor', using solely the solutions the VFP-language offers.
