True .Net is not a language. But job listings request java or .Net and java is way ahead. Also can you prove .Net is the market leader?

Craig do you believe .Net is the future? I don't think many of us are sold on .Net. Somebody has to show me that it provides more to the client than other languages. It's not cross platform and more of my client are demanding it.
