I have an application that works fine on Novell 3.11, but when ported to run on a Novell 4.1 server crashes with the following errors.

1. Another user has use of the file... do you want to save your changes?... If you say no, the computer locks up, If you say yes.. the computer flickers then locks up. Either way you lose.

2. I use a table to track key file locations. This table has one memo field in it. I would say 2 out of 5 starts VFP reports the file is damaged, and should I repair it. If yes, the computer crashes. If no, the software won't run without this table. What I have done, is converted the memo field to an extremely long character field. This stops this error.

I have tried re installing the software.

This is my first trial at installing this software on Novel 4.1.

The same software works in Wiondows NT 3.5, and 4.0
The same software works in Novell 3.11

Is there a bug in the novell log in?
