Charles and Doug, Congratulations! I've always been impressed that firms like Microsoft run these sorts of sweepstakes with no possibility of a return on their investment (since the only people who know about the lottery are the winners and MS doesn't even have access to their contact details.) It's also good the way they use yahoo and google e-mail addresses. I had assumed this was to allow the organizing MS reps to remain anonymous (because these sorts of offshore lotteries break many nations' laws) but I've subsequently realized that the goal is to help boost the membership count and thus value of such companies. Good old Microsoft!
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
