>>>3) hey, I was told that we have a government we deserve and was summoned on the carpet here for still having it as it were. So what's good for the goose... IOW, those who said that Serbia deserved Milošević are just equally right in this case.

>>The NY Times had an article the other day about the new guy who has apparently picked up many of Milosevic's supporters -- angry, nationalist, anti-west.

>New? From what I'm reading, these guys haven't got anyone new in a long time. Yeh, they can easily find a lot of supporters for the angry and anti-west. If I was there, I'd probably be one, seeing how the West keeps screwing Serbia over and over.

>Nationalist? Nah, that seems to be so passé, though they seem to be quite loud and hand-in-hand with the religious fundamentalists (but then it was and is the West who insisted that religion must be allowed a free reign... so we have Mormons, too, and a a pedophile Orthodox priest case, prosecuted and released - but why, when they are actually allowed, required to get married... aaargh). They may gain some traction every time West tells Serbia to bend over, but they are old people on the average, and they are on the wane.

>So... who are their new guys? I haven't heard of any.

His name is Tomislav Nikolic. According to the Times article he seems to think the only problem with Milosevic was he stopped before he was finished. I think he meant all the parts of Yugoslavia Milosevic lost in unsuccessful wars, is that right?
