This is exactly why I'm using SDT - you ship the client the DBC plus a few meta tables. SDT includes a simple (one method call) way of then synchronizing the local database with the shipped changes. It automatically adds any new fields, new indexes, new views, structural changes, etc. I don't need to write any code to do this.
