Well, I could do that, but that's sort of defeating the the purpose of my config file to begin with. I work on several projects at a time, and each one has a different "search path", so I put a bunch of differnt VFP icons on my screen, each one pointing to a different config.xxD file. I don't want a 'default' so to speak, I want to change it at startup based upon what's in the config.xxD file, hence the reason for wanted that "Path =" command to still work.
