Hi Abhishek.

Have you considered use VirtualBox or VMWare to create a virtual windows machine on the Linux server when you want to process things locally? I haven't tried either under Linux but I've use VirtualBox under windows to make virtual XP, 98 and Linux boxes and it works fine. Certainly I've seen no problems running VFP in the XP virtual machine.

It would also save you rewriting anything.

Ian Simcock.

>We do a lot of data - matching which runs into millions of records. All the data is kept in MySQl server and we fetch the data in batches using ODBC connection into VFP for matching. The results are then processed accordingly. The matching program is sometimes executed on the server machine itself or sometime on the production machine connected to the server with a high speed network. This choice is done on the amount of data to be matched.
