Although I could not find any reference in the Microsoft knowledge base to a problem with numric text boxes inserting a zero when the decimal point was entered after a blank record was appended, I could find many on here. Just put on Visual Studio 6 with VFP 6.0 and low and behold, this non-acknowledged bug is gone. Thanks to Jim Booth and crew for the excellent class library that addressed this problem until 6 came out.
