>>>Avast anti-virus software finds a virus called Win32:Rbot-FVC in my VFP 9.0 executable while Norton and AVG don’t locate any viruses. Avast doesn’t find the virus in the development version, only in the run-time version. It would be nice to find that Avast is generating a false finding. Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

>Thanks Naomi. It makes me feel better knowing that others have run into similar issues with their executables. I’ll try sending the app to ALWIL Software and ask them to determine whether it’s a false positive. If it is hopefully they can correct it in a virus definition update. Thanks again.

You're welcome.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
