We allow users to create udfs on the fly and bind them to regular entry, calculations, or validation boxes.
We wrote our own replication that works on fox databases. We want to use Sql Replication if possible but it has to allow us to perform a pull merge and replicate database changes ( I have read that the RMO tools allow this to happen and you cannot use the wizards to set up replication ). Also partial replicas would be nice on our remote Sql express users but not a deal killer.
We have used Xcase since 2000 and really like it.
IT departments of our clients are forcing us to change by 2009 or no more buying our stuff. The first step is move the back to Sql ( maybe a few isolated processes to .Net as well ). Then after that is released move the middle and front to C# over the next 18-24 month cycle.
