I tried once to decipher QuickBooks db structure. I couldn't do it cause I couldn't find a discernable pattern. I used several dbm's to look at some data, and it made sense, however, all data from what could be construed as a "record" did not appear in the same locale as most of the data relating to that "record". That's one of the points I bring up when people ask me about QuickBooks. QuickBook's concept of Import and Export is from and to another QuickBook file, and if someone wants to move data in and out, it's more than a bear.
