our application (active m-ware) uses ~550 tables, no remote views, just SPT, XML-Metadata, DB-based data-repository and 25 different reporttypes with up to 99 variants each that can be printed by VFP, Crystal Reports or special apps that are running on UNIX/LINUX (very fast). As database we use Informix or PostgreSQL.
The Application uses entirely VFP9SP1 on all tiers. Our users can decide if they want a pure fat client with a simple 2003-Fileserver (5-10 Clients) or MS Terminalserver / CitrixMF with Clustered servers.
There are also Web-based interfaces written in JAVA, and some low level tools written in VS2005 C#/.net2.0. The UNIX/LINUX-part is written in ROSI-SQL (uses cursors rather similar to VFP but without OOP).
The client installations of our customers differ from 5 to 250 clients.
