Guys,
I am doing some redesign of a database and an application and am am able to drop 8 tables (sweeeeeet).
These 8 tables are linked through a foreign key to another table.

Is it OK to just drop the 8 tables (DROP TABLE XYZ) and assume that the foreign key is removed with the table?
Or should I remove the foreign key before dropping the tables?
