I think that is peanuts comparing to *commodity* called keeping
hundreds of thousands businesses under windows platform and all direct and foremost indirect income it brings.
You must have been working mostly in large enterprise environments, but if count how meny times one small office purchased entire small network (Win server and 5-10 PCs with xp&Office ) because his VFP app overgrew desktop or peer2peer netw proportions then that picture changes quiet a bit.
This still happens even nowdays. Maybe not all that much in US but in developing countries this is still very frequent situation. And that was imho overlooked.
