I created a small prg as:

use stock alias mstock in 0
select mstock
APPEND FROM stock.xls TYPE xls

which works in VFP.

I compiled it into .app, when I tried it, I got an error:

Cannot update the cursor MSTOCK, since it is read-only

what am I missing?
