You wouldn't believe the number of times I've had dogs run in front of my car while driving inside the city. We have a leash law but it really is not enforced.

>Or DOB. Yes. I do sympathize with the person who lost their dog, and people do zip around that curve. There is a long straightaway, 45 mph zone, after crawling through the center of town (such as it is). But the sign makes it sound like the motorist was the only irresponsible party.
>
>The part that does bother me about the motorist -- and I do not know this, am only speculating based on the sign -- is apparently they did not stop.

>>Right.
>>
>>The poor SOB who wrote the sign probably doesn't know who hit his dog and is lashing out.
>>
>>>After dropping my daughters off at school this morning I passed a handmade sign by a bend in the road. "You killed my dog" was scrawled on a piece of cardboard about three feet square, the sign attached to a stick and hammered into the ground.
>>>
>>>Putting aside the possible effrontery of displaying this sign to every motorist who passes by on this busy road, at most one of whom killed the person's dog, I thought it was an excellent reminder to not let dogs run in the road. Right?
