hi all,
for my sins i have vista (honeymoon is definitely over) and am having real trouble transferring files to a memory key. I have to copy 39,000 pdf files to a customer so i thought my 4gb key would suffice, the files come to less that 1 gb in total. I tried copy and paste with the entire folder but that failed, i put this down to vista and its 'advanced' file handling ability. I then started to copy the files in blocks of a few thousand. I've gotten to 16,000 or so and now it will not let me copy in any more pdf files. I can copy in other types of files though! the folder is taking up 1gb on the memory stick even the files come to 380mb or so. I did a defrag on an XP machine in case that was the problem and the XP machine says its defraged but in vista no change. any help welcome.
