The table has about 80,000 records, and when I set the index to column3, it takes about 10 seconds to change the order (with the current filter set). Do I have to set the indexes to Column1 + column3 in order to speed them up? Or is there another work around?

If you want to get subset of records based on column1+column3 values then you should have index expression literally the same. However, you may also have separate index tags on column1 and column3 and run Select-SQL with 2 conditions: Where column1=value1 and column2=value2
You may discard your filter after that.
