First of all, let me make it absolutely clear that I have absolutely noone in mind when I write this, I only want to have it said.

My opinion is that anyone who calls another person a racist without really knowing the person very, very well, shows very bad judgement. I have noticed that these people very often act as racists themselves, because they loudly state that there are races, which this is all about in the first place. As soon as someone say something about other people which they disagree about, they shout "racist", to demean the other person, and to try to stop the other person from saying what he/she really means. As soon as the word "racist" is said in a discussion, everyone is more or less forced to be careful about what they say, be extremely defensive, drop out of the discusson or change the subject. I hope you follow my reasoning.

In Norway we have a political party which says loudly what most people mean, namely that immigrants which commit serious crimes, should be sent out of the country after they have served their time. Politicians from this political party are often referred to as racists, especially in the news in other countries. But when other politicians say exactly the same, they "wrap in" their comment with something like "maybe they have not managed to adjust to the Norwegian culture, maybe they would have a better life where they came from".....!

For me "racist" is THE worst thing you can say about another person. I know many people who have been called a racist, but I don't know anyone who really is a racist.
