We have a table that is super slow when accessing records in the buffer.

When doing a select command using "WITH (BUFFERING = .T.)" the results are returned in about 30 minutes as
opposed to doing the same select without the (BUFFERING = .T.) returning data in seconds. There are about
5,000 records in the buffer that haven't been committed to the table yet with a TABLEUPDATE.

The select statement is fully optimizable because there's an index on every field in the selection criteria.

What could be causing this type of slow down? Even stopping the execution of the code and browsing the
table is painfully slow.
