There are roundabout three ways:
Remote Views
SQL Pass-Through
CursorAdapters
The advantage of the 2nd and 3rd is that they are somewhat more flexible, for example it is easier to add and remove filters (Where parts) etc.
The advantage of Remote Views is that it's very easy to create them, IMO.
There are chapters about all three in the VFP help, e.g. "Enhancing Applications Using SQL Pass-Through Technology" and "Data Access Management Using CursorAdapters" etc.

>I have been using remote views is this a stable way to go? I am getting time out issues, etc. Is there another way to update Sql Server then using remote views, if so point me in the direction I need to go, or a simple sample if there is one so I can see what is going on.
