This is off your main point, but IMO talking on a cell phone while driving is a real problem. It's a danger to other motorists, not to mention oneself. I really don't think I'm exaggerating to estimate that 75% of the time someone does something incredibly stupid while I'm driving, I'll look and they're talking on the phone.
PS -- Since I am already off the main point, is it possible for power to encroach away? ;-) I may have to ask the UT Language Committee....
>The unforeseen and unintended ones. Maybe one day I'll post a list of unintended legal precedent that has arisen from wayward environmental legislation, but frankly I don't think it matters. Those whom are not directly affected simply do not care. The indirect consequences are blamed on the rich or corporate bogeymen and they merrily pretend that we're affecting the globe for the children. They're happy to let the power of the federal government encroach away, since they're fat and happy, lazily living beyond their means in their urban jungle. I thought that a decision like Kelo might have changed a few minds, but no, private property rights aren't important compared to "real" problems like people talking on cell phones while driving.

>>>I don't believe any loopholes will stand. I prefer to look at the results of other listings and the consequences both major (think NW timber industry) and minor (think elderberry beetle). The effects will not be immediate, as the lawsuits will take time to work through the courts and there's always a chance of the higher courts stopping the madness, but I won't hold my breath (at least until its illegal not to). ;)
